Never Give Up

☼ Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine as children do. It's not just in some of us; it is in everyone. And as we let our own lights shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.

☼ If you can't accept me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best.

Too Caught Up..

Wow

Haven't written since September?? Yeah, I've been abusing my journal as well. I have been so caught up in lots of new things. I started my new job the other day as a CNA! I LOVE it! It is really stressful at times, but I love working with new people and getting to know all the residents. I have been on many dates and I have enjoyed my last Christmas break as a senior.

I have a new diagnosis of senioritis.

I wish I could think of other things to say..but I am just blank with everything going on

Will write soon!

Mmmm Yes!

Yeah, I stink right now, but it's no biggie or anything.. We just beat Box Elder in a 5 match game!! It was soo fun! It felt like playing before I was injured, which is good-blocking wise. I got about 8 blocks and am still working to get more each match!! It was an adrelian rush, let me tell you. (Yeah, I spelled adrelian wrong, but right now the fact that I'm happy and excited doesn't mean it matters!) :] I can't wait for the next game!

[ So want to know what I've been craving like everyday lately?! ]

Yummy Dairy Queen!!

I think I could eat there everyday for the rest of my life.

Alexis and I enjoyed it very much, along with our wonderful friend, Bree, and other great friends!! :]

Bree and Lexis and I are planning to go on a camping trip. Apparently they don't believe I'm a good camper or even at that: know how to camp!? I don't think so! I am a great camper! I know how to put up a tent and bring a cooler and make fires?? I'm so good at that..NOT. At youth conference it took me a bajillion times to put up a fire, but you know what? I love camping and I can learn how to do better right?? :]

Wooo!!

School is tomorrow!! :] SENIOR YEAR..woww...am I really that old?? It's kind of surreal. I don't believe it myself. I have mixed emotions on this whole thing..yeahh, I'm jumbled. Yet mostly I am super excited!!

My ankle is doing really well right now. I have played volleyball and it only hurts at certain moments when I jump or bend my ankle in some positions. I know prayers have been answered.

WELL..I think it's time to get organized: in a half an hour I have presidency meeting at my new young women leader's home, Jenna!! Then I have BYC. I love BYC. Spending time, planning things, with all the presidents of the youth and the bishopric of the ward. Yupp- call me crazy, but it is crazy fun!!

Also, after I shall clean my room. I want to get around and do homework in peace. Right now it is a pig sty.

Hahaha Yupp. I am excited!! :]

In a Commotion ☼

So this past week I had the wonderful opportunity to go to St. George for a volleyball tournament. It was so fun! All of us staying in a hotel, driving down there, being silly together. Turned out for me that it was something meant to make me stronger.

The first day I got sick with something..I don't even know what. I couldn't breathe at some points and I seriously knew something was up, but I didn't like it at all. I started playing in the last game of the day and when I switched positions to come out back row I just could not take it anymore. Tiff helped me out to get some medicine and I sat out the whole game. Coach helped me lots and tried to see if it was asthma by giving me an inhaler. Didn't work. As we were at Pizza Factory my team (as I was told) prayed that I would be able to feel better that night. It's crazy cuz I believe after they said the prayer I had a feeling I needed to try throw up. The rest is history. Yeah that night I got a good rest. The next day was soo fun! We wore our shirts we made and everything..until the last game we were playing and I was determined to get another block. After getting 11 blocks that day I went up for another block only to come down on one of the other team's girl's foot. It rolled out and became one huge SPRANG.

Warning: do not wear one ankle brace and not one on the other. My left foot..the one without the ankle brace..learned it's lesson. It is now really puffy and not really fun. I'm out for 3 weeks til try-outs, but I know it happened to make me stronger. There are no regrets. My teammates, coaches, and parents helped me soo much!! Thanks so much!! :]

I had so much fun! :]

PROM ☼

Prom was so so fun!

I went with one of my best friends: Adam Pett. I couldn't ask for a better date!! He is one truly great guy. He is a great example. Very funny I must say. And he is very honest which I love about him. The day was sunny with a tint of wind--overall it was a wonderful day! He came to get me at my home where we were first greeted with pizza and Roanne. What a wonderful experience! Then we went to get Andy and his date, Alyssa. It was like dejavu! A couple months ago we all went on a group date together: Adam and I, Andy and Alyssa, and Tony and Carly (whom were in our group for prom, too!). So so fun! We headed to get subway, then we traveled on up to rocket park where we met up with the rest of the couples for lunch and a marshmallow war. Funniest war ever!! Our wonderful shooting tubes were decorated with great memories and inside jokes. After that moment Adam dropped me off home to get ready for dinner and the dance. Jamie and Amy came over to help me with hair and makeup. I love them so much! Jamie did my hair so well and Amy helped with all her might. We talked and laughed and listened to great music as they worked on me. After about an hour or so I was ready. I loved my hair!! My dress and shoes ready to be put on. It seems that whenever I go shopping for a dress..somehow, magically-my dress gets put in my lap. It's a long story (or stories) but you know? haha Adam came to get me. Corie and Scott Samuelsen took pictures. I wish I could've seen Shalece before she left for the dance. She looked beautiful! Anywho, dinner was at The Mandrian. Such a delicious place! I kinda spilled my water and it was so embarrassing, but no worries-Carly helped me by accidently spilling her water too. :] Funny memories. The dance was soo fun! Yet so crowded!! I enjoyed dancing with my group. It consisted of the nicest people I've ever met. I had so much fun!! :]
